How To Use The Outdoor Pool Theater
This second video features some updates re: raising and lowering both the projector and the screen. Recommend watching both!
Inside & Remote Input Selection
*Use the all-in-one OUTDOOR remote to power
on the Yamaha receiver on the RIGHT side of the equipment shelving in the
Freeze Frame living room. We recommend selecting the ROKU input (on the remote or manually on the receiver) to stream movies & shows from today's most popular apps BUT blu-ray is an option too.
Point The all-in-one remote at the roku device and use the POWER button on the remote to turn on the ROKU. The ROKU device can also be powered on by using the free ROKU app from your own device while you're connected to our Wifi and have Backyard/Outdoor Theater selected (in the app's "devices" section) by pressing the HOME button (in the devices REMOTE section).
Outside : The Projector
*Outside, reach just below the roof on the backside of the little stone covered hut on the pool deck and you'll discover a dino egg mounted to the wall. Reach into the egg and you'll find a remote control. Point that remote at the X on the thatched roof and hold the UP button down for 1-2 seconds. The projector elevator should begin gradually rising over a period of 20-30 seconds.
*Connect your phone/device to EA-SECURED Wifi and then use Yamaha's free MUSICCAST app to manage the device named DINO POOL and select ROKU or HDMI 1 as your input. This is a very important step because the system needs to be on a video input (and not just an audio input) in order for the movie screen to come down automatically
*Once you've selected the ROKU input on the Dino Pool in the MusicCast app, hold down the POWER button on the
projector for 2-3 seconds and then a minute or two for its lamp to warm up. The movie screen will begin descending while the projector is warming up (after about 10 seconds) as long as you have MusicCast set to ROKU on the DINO POOL.
*Use the ROKU app to enable your device to act as a remote control (select "DEVICES" at the bottom of the screen and choose the Backyard- EA Outdoor Theater). Once connected, press the "REMOTE" option at the bottom of the screen. If ROKU isn't powered on, use the HOME button on the remote to do so or, if you've rented the main house, go inside and check to be sure the little black Roku device above the Yamaha receiver on the right side of the equipment rack is plugged in and powered on. (You may need to unplug it from the back and plug it back in). Remember: You can control volume by holding down and sliding the level meter at the bottom of the screen in MusicCast and also by turning it up on your device. For serious movie watching, we recommend turning off the slide and also pressing "P" on the pool control panel to turn off the waterfalls temporarily (If it's cold out, you'll want to re-press "P" again after your movie to turn the pool back on to ensure it doesn't lose heat).
*When you're done for the night, hold down the projector's POWER button again for 2-3 seconds, and then press it briefly once more when the on-screen message prompts you to confirm you want to turn it off. The movie screen will rise back up automatically as long as MusicCast or the Yamaha receiver inside is still on a video input like ROKU/HDMI1. If you accidentally switched to an audio source, simply turn the projector back on, switch MusicCast back to ROKU, and then turn the projector off again. Please wait at least a minute between turning the projector on and turning the projector off and vice versa.
Using The ROKU App On Your Phone
*Download/Open The Free ROKU App To Your Phone. Be Sure Your Phone is Conneted To Our Wifi. Open The App And Select "DEVICES" and then "BACKYARD." Now You Can Click "REMOTE" at The Bottom Of The Screen And Control The Roku Using Your Phone From The Pool Area. To Select What You'd Like To Stream.
